Who says Campers have all the fun?

This is more than a summer job, it is an amazing 8-week experience that will allow you to learn and grow.  We would like to invite you to come and join our camp family.  

When it comes to family, there is nothing we take more seriously.  Our staff, many of whom were former campers, are the ingredient that makes Maplewood so special.  

Some of our Staff members have been with us for 10, 15 even 25 years!!

You, above all else, are our most important asset.  Our goal throughout the summer is to make sure that you have a positive and meaningful experience...and we will do everything in our power to make it so.

Lee Pinsteen
Owner/Director

Lee grew up at Maplewood, starting as a camper in the Poodles group, and eventually taking on various roles such as Head of Waterfront and Director over 40 years.

Maplewood has always been like family to him, as his whole family has strong ties to the camp.

He even met his wife at Maplewood, and both of his children have been campers and counselors.

Lee is dedicated to making everyone associated with Maplewood feel like part of the family and genuinely loves coming to work each day.

Program Coordinator

Jay began as a camper at Maplewood when he was 9 years old. He now works year-round at Maplewood, being involved in all aspects of the School Year and Summer Camp seasons.

After serving for 24 years as the Vikings and Knights Senior Counselor, Jay transitioned to the role of ProgramCoordinator last year. He brings together athleticism, warmth, organization, and creativity in his position.

Jay is an essential member of our full-time team and resides with his wife Lisa (whom he met at Maplewood), two sons JR and Chris, and his dog Jersey.

Jay is in charge of supervising the staff and overseeing group and specialty activities. We are thrilled to have Jay as part of the Maplewood family!

Samantha Meyers
Operations Coordinator

Samantha, also known as "Sam", has been a part of the Maplewood family for the past 13 years. She began working in our after-school program during the School Year Season and continued to return for more.

Over the years, she served as a Summer Camp counselor and eventually transitioned into an administrative role.

Samantha graduated from Bridgewater State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications. Her passion for customer service and working with children made her an ideal fit for Maplewood.

In May 2024, Sam welcomed her first child and now enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband. Her responsibilities include camper enrollment, group placement, and managing all transportation-related matters.

Lexi Prothero
Staffing Coordinator

Lexi has just completed her 11th summer atMaplewood! She started at Maplewood as a junior counselor and worked her way up to become the Senior Counselor for the Peanuts and Rascals group.

During the School Year Season, she's was involved in Maplewood’s enrichment and after-school program, teaching gymnastics while pursuing her degrees. Lexi now holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Education in Secondary Education. She has been teaching biology at Bridgewater-Raynham Regional HighSchool for six years. Lexi is responsible for hiring and working closely with the staff.

Maplewood holds a special place in Lexi's heart, and she considers it her second home. She loves the sense of community at camp and finds it incredibly rewarding to watch her young campers learn and grow over the years. Some of her first campers are now staff members themselves!

When Lexi isn't working, she spends time with her 1.5-year-old daughter, Miles, who keeps her quite busy! She also enjoys reading and traveling to visit her family in Hawai'i and Missouri.

Carla Serrano
Front Office Coordinator

Carla Serrano joined the Maplewood front desk team in March 2024. Originally from Ecuador, Carla moved to the United States with her husband in 2001. They are proud parents of two daughters who are currently attending college.

Carla studied Graphic Design in Quito and worked for 13 years as a product designer for a local paper company. She also spent 8 years at BASF Ecuador, where she gained valuable experience as a Front Desk Manager, Human Resources Assistant, and General Manager Secretary. Always eager to learn and grow, Carla is currently pursuing an Associate’s Degree in Computer Programming and Web Development at Bristol Community College.

In her free time, Carla enjoys teaching Spanish and fitness classes, exploring the latest fitness trends, and weightlifting. She also channels her creative energy into graphic design projects for local event planners. Carla cherishes time spent with family and friends, especially her bilingual dog, Luna.

Her connection to Maplewood dates back to 2014 when she taught Spanish lessons and quickly fell in love with the community. When the opportunity arose to rejoin the team, she was thrilled to return. Carla loves being part of Maplewood. It's her joy to serve campers and their families every day!

Sharon Maynard
Marketing Coordinator

Sharon is celebrating her 20th year at Maplewood. Before coming here, she spent over 25 years in the fitness and management industry.

During her time at Maplewood, she's taken on many roles, including creating new programs, handling administrative tasks, and connecting its School Year and Summer Camp seasons into a lively, year-round brand called Maplewood.

From the moment she drove down the hill and was greeted by the beautiful lake and amazing views, Sharon instantly fell in love with Maplewood!

She loves sharing her creative talents, connecting with wonderful parents and kids, and working alongside everyone else in the Maplewood family.
