Exciting Activities

Take aim...Ready...Fire! Archery is an archery that helps improve focus, concentration, and hand-eye coordination. Although many of our campers come to camp having never used a bow, they leave feeling confident and excited about their new found skills.

Our two art studios provide a place for campers to imagine and explore the creativity within. Campers work on many projects throughout the summer, and love to make their own pottery!

Discovering the outdoors is an important component to the Maplewood experience. At our barnyard students meet all different types of animals; goats, chickens, roosters, bunnies, and snakes! Campers learn where their furry friends come from and the proper way to care for them.

We have two-full sized basketball courts adjacent to our sports fields. Campers and Counselors work together to develop dribbling, shooting, and defensive skills. Basketball hoops are adjustable and accessible to all ages.

At our three beach volleyball courts campers learn basics! Beginning with Newcomb, counselors teach campers the rules and proper techniques needed to understand the game.

Our 5-acre lake is the perfect setting for boating & fishing! Campers will row around our beautiful lake in kayaks, aqua-cycles, bumper boats, paddle boats, canoes, and row boats.

Camper have so much fun playing this game! Capture the Flag is a traditional outdoor game where two teams each have a flag (or other marker) and the objective is to capture the other team's flag, located at the team's "base," and bring it safely back to their own base.

Carnival brings the camp to life with music and laughter! Staff and campers join forces for a fun-filled event featuring interactive games, face painting, cotton candy, and lots of enjoyment!

Working with play and painting pottery is a fun way for children to express themselves, be creative, and connect with others.

Practice and perform with Maplewood’s dance instructor. Find yourself through the world of dance!

Players toss flying discs, commonly called frisbees, as they enjoy making their way through a fun course. The goal is to score points by landing the discs in baskets along the way!

Diving is fun, and our swim instructors teach our campers how to do it safely during their daily swim lessons.

Lights, Camera, Action! Campers dress up and perform for each other every day in drama!

Wait for the fish to bite and learn the value of patience as you fish in Maplewood's lake. Experience the great outdoors while spending time with friends.  Catch and release of course :)

It is a fast-paced, non-contact sport that's fun and great for campers of all ages.

Never heard of Gaga ball? Fear not! Campers are addicted to this unusual game fun for campers of all ages.

Gold Rush! Games & Gold! Enjoy thrilling games, discover shimmering gold, and immerse yourself in the spirited world of cowboys and endless fun!

A Maplewood favorite! Campers swing from the bars, concentrate on balance as they walk across the balance beam, and control their footing when practicing their landings.

Campers have a great time with this fun activity! It allows them to hit home runs in a friendly setting, boosting their pride and love for baseball or softball.

Working with string, threading beads, and creating patterns is fun and are great ways for improving fine motor skills, concentration, and creativity.

Kayaking on our lake is so much fun and provides our campers a unique combination of physical activity, exploration of nature, and a sense of adventure.

Kickball is so much fun to play and is a great way to learn basic motor skills like kicking, running, throwing and catching

Hero-Blast-Laser-Tag! It is a jam-packed, one-of-a-kind, non-gun laser tag game. This fast-paced, team building activity is fun for all ages and will allow the campers to work on skills such as teamwork, communication, critical thinking, cooperation, sportsmanship, fitness, and endurance. Amazing skills to learn in such a fun way!!!

Campers use their imaginations to create anything they can think of, fostering creativity, problem solving skills, and a sense of accomplishment while also improving their fine motor skills.

Individual tutoring with Easton Public School Teachers that focuses on math skills, computation, concepts and applications.

Mini-Golf = Big Fun!!  Nestled into Maplewood’s forest is a full 18-hole Miniature Golf Course is a favorite among our campers!

Get ready to slide, splash, and have fun! Race your friends down two side-by-side wet slides and cool off in the pool at the bottom of the slide.

Maplewood Campers discover and explore the music within in our Music room. By summer’s end campers interact with all different genres and instruments.

Paddleboarding is a great way for our older campers to build confidence and enjoy the amazing experience of standing and paddling through the water.

We recognize the importance of physical activity as well as having fun. These self-propelled pedal karts combine both qualities. Campers cruise along, the wind in their face and with wide smiles validating that this is one of their favorite activities!

Penny Dive. Dancing on the pool deck combined with the search for pennies that get thrown in the Pool. Some of the lucky ones find a giant one! And penny dive would not be complete without a visit to the penny candy store.

Join your fellow campers out on the pillo polo fields for endless fun. Pick up a cue tip and swing away!

Our Rock Climbing Wall & Ropes Course offers campers the opportunity to step outside of their safe-zone. Campers and students challenge themselves throughout the year in a supportive and safe environment, participating in the flying squirrel, slingshot, and space station.

Scavenger Hunt is filled with teamwork, riddles, clues, and giggles! Campers and staff all get into the action in search of Lee's hat.

Instructors begin teaching advanced-level strokes and dives. Ready for some fun? Rocket down one of our two water slides into our heated pools!

Whether playing games or working in stations to practice dribbling, passing, and shooting, soccer is a sport that can be enjoyed for a lifetime. It helps to improve fitness, coordination, and promotes teamwork.

Our experienced teaching staff, each with 20 years of expertise and Master’s degrees in Education, provides tutoring to prevent "summer regression" and helps your child maintain and sharpen skills over the summer.

Our waterfront staff works hard throughout the summer to help campers adjust to the water, learn to float, and learn basic swim strokes. Nothing beats taking a ride down “Hoppin Hal’s tongue-slide,” into our Olympic sized heated pool.

Campers and staff gets into the action for our annual Summer Camp Tie Dye activity. At the end of the week everyone wears their creation and the camp is filled with a sea of colors.

All Aboard the Maplewood Express! Our youngest campers will love the thrill of climbing aboard, waving to their friends, and enjoying the scenic ride around the camp. COMING IN THE SPRING!

Our campers love to ride down the double tube slide before splashing into the warm pool water.

Ultimate frisbee is a camp favorite! This fun, non-contact team sport that uses a flying disc! Score points by catching the disc in the opposing team's end zone by passing it down the field. It’s a great way to enjoy some teamwork with friends!

Campers experience a fun introduction to the game with an emphasis on baseball fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Children build confidence and social skills in a structured, fun and non-competitive environment.

Ooch teaches campers yo-yo mastery, sharing tricks and care tips. Campers leave with 6 new tricks and yo-yo know-how.

Campers engage in physical movements and breathing exercises in yoga to boost flexibility, tone, and relaxation.
