Summer Camp – Facilities
Children can enjoy the heated swimming pools, perfect for learning to swim, relaxation and exercise, as well as beautiful lakefront during the summer access, providing opportunities for kayaking, paddleboarding, bumper boating, fishing, and peaceful lakeside gatherings.
Boating Dock
Campers of all ages love to row, paddle, and kayak through the waves as they discover the diverse Maplewood wild life. Learn to row, steer the aqua cycle, or take out a paddle boat with your fellow campers. Boating provides a new experience every time you set out from shore.
Bumper Boat Dock
Maplewood’s Bumper Boat Fleet is a favorite! Our Campers have so much fun cruising around on the Bumper Boats and splish-splashing with friends.
Fishing Area
Wait for the fish to bite and learn the value of patience as you fish in Maplewood's lake. Experience the great outdoors while spending time with friends. Catch and release of course :)
Junior Pool
Maplewood’s Junior Camp Pool is home to swim lessons for campers in pre-school to 3rd Grade. Our waterfront staff works hard throughout the summer to help campers adjust to the water, learn to float, and learn basic swim strokes. Nothing beats taking a ride down “Hoppin Hal’s tongue-slide,” into our Olympic sized heated pool.
Lake
Our beautiful lake is at the center of our camp grounds and is used for boating and fishing. Campers love to row, paddle, and kayak through the waves as they discover the diverse Maplewood wild life. IF you look closely you might be able to catch a glimpse of Maplewood’s favorite turtle, “Big Mama!”
Senior Pool
Maplewood’s Senior Camp Pool houses our campers in grades 4-9. As campers progress to our senior pool, instructors begin teaching advanced level strokes and dives. Ready for some fun? Rocket down one of our two water slides into our heated pools!
Splash Slide
Take a wild, thrilling, ride down Maplewood’s very own splash slide. Campers love speeding down the mat and splashing into a splash pad.
Summer Camp – Facilities
Maplewood features top-notch athletic facilities, including a modern air-conditioned gym, large fields for soccer, football, and so many other sports, plus outdoor street hockey, basketball and gaga courts, all aimed at promoting fitness and accommodating diverse interests.
Archery Range
Take aim...Ready...Fire! Archery is an archery that helps improve focus, concentration, and hand-eye coordination. Although many of our campers come to camp having never used a bow, they leave feeling confident and excited about their new found skills.
Athletic Fields
Itching for a game of kickball? On the hunt for a capture the flag match? Maplewood’s athletic fields are the perfect place to bond with your fellow campers and learn the value of teamwork. Our fields are specifically designed for teaching our campers the fundamentals of fitness and athletic skills.
Basketball Court
We have two-full sized basketball courts adjacent to our sports fields. Campers and Counselors work together to develop dribbling, shooting, and defensive skills. Basketball hoops are adjustable and accessible to all ages.
Beach Volleyball Courts
At our three beach volleyball courts campers learn basics! Beginning with Newcomb, counselors teach campers the rules and proper techniques needed to understand the game.
Capture the Flag Field
Camper have so much fun playing this game! Capture the Flag is a traditional outdoor game where two teams each have a flag (or other marker) and the objective is to capture the other team's flag, located at the team's "base," and bring it safely back to their own base.
Disc Golf Course
Disc Golf is played much like traditional golf. Instead of a ball and clubs, however, players use a flying disc. in which the plastic disc is thrown into each of a series of metal baskets situated on an outdoor course, the object being to complete the course using the fewest possible throws.
Ga-Ga Ball Court
Never heard of Gaga ball? Fear not! Campers are addicted to this unusual game fun for campers of all ages.
Gymnastics Studio
A Maplewood favorite! Campers swing from the bars, concentrate on balance as they walk across the balance beam, and control their footing when practicing their landings.
Pillo Polo Court
Join your fellow campers out on the pillo polo fields for endless fun. Pick up a cue tip and swing away
Soccer Field
Our soccer field is the perfect place to learn and play the world’s most popular sport. Campers work hard to learn basic skills such as dribbling, passing, and shooting.
Street Hockey Court

Summer Camp – Facilities
We offer outstanding facilities for Arts & Crafts, Ceramics, Puppet Making, Macramé, Jewelry Making, Dance, Drama, and Music, fostering creativity and self-expression.
Art Studios
Our two art studios provide a place for campers to imagine and explore the creativity within. Campers work on many projects throughout the summer, and love to make their own pottery!
Dance Studio
Practice and perform with Maplewood’s dance instructor. Find yourself through the world of dance!
Drama Studio
Lights, Camera, Action! Campers dress up and perform for each other every day in drama!

Maplewood Campers discover and explore the music within in our Music room. By summer’s end campers interact with all different genres and instruments.
Summer Camp – Facilities
Our facilities go beyond heated swimming pools, expansive playing fields, and air-conditioned indoor classrooms and gymnasium. Our campers could spend a month at Maplewood and never do the same activity twice… but they will because they’re so much fun! 🙂
Barnyard
Discovering the outdoors is an important component to the Maplewood experience. At our barnyard students meet all different types of animals; goats, chickens, roosters, bunnies, and snakes! Campers learn where their furry friends come from and the proper way to care for them.
Indoor Climbing Wall & Rope Course
Our Rock Climbing Wall & Ropes Course offers campers the opportunity to step outside of their safe-zone. Campers and students challenge themselves throughout the year in a supportive and safe environment, participating in the flying squirrel, slingshot, and space station.
Laser Tag
Tag, you're it!! The good old fashioned game of tag has evolved over the years... Hero-Blast-Laser-Tag! It is a jam-packed, one-of-a-kind, non-gun laser tag game. This fast-paced, team building activity is fun for all ages and will allow the campers to work on skills such as teamwork, communication, critical thinking, cooperation, sportsmanship, fitness, and endurance. Amazing skills to learn in such a fun way!
Maplewood Play Village
Our very own hands-on Maplewood Village! Located on Pedal Kart Road, at Maplewood. This creative and imagination-building village features nine fun playhouses: Harmony Barn, Nana Ana’s Diner, 9 to 4 General Store, Zippy’s Gas Station, Furry Infirmary, Sandy Shores Camp Ground, FireFly Cottage, Tree Top Theatre, and Sunnyside School. Pedal your way around the village and make stops along the way.
Mini Golf Course
Mini-Golf = Big Fun!! Nestled into Maplewood’s forest is a full 18-hole Miniature Golf Course is a favorite among our campers!
Pedal Kart Track
We recognize the importance of physical activity as well as having fun. These self-propelled pedal karts combine both qualities. Campers cruise along, the wind in their face and with wide smiles validating that this is one of their favorite activities!
Playgrounds
Maplewood's three playgrounds offer different environments to play safely. Our youngest campers and students love to swing from the monkey bars, build sand castles, and fly down our slides.
Summer Camp – Facilities
We have many shaded spaces and air-conditioned facilities to escape the summer heat or rainy days. This includes our nurse’s office, which is easily accessible and a comfortable setting for your campers when they are not feeling well or need some first aid for minor injuries, and our temperature-controlled and quiet tutoring center. Our lunch pavilions provide cool, covered spaces for eating and socializing with camp friends.
AC Shack
We offer academic programs, individual and group tutoring, to help prevent “summer regression,” giving your child the opportunity to maintain and sharpen skills over the summer months. Our professional educators are Easton Public School Teachers, each with 20 years of teaching experience. They are reading and math specialists with Master’s Degrees in Education. The AC shack also is where we hold our club-day Chess program.
Nurse's Office
We have a registered nurse on staff to care for your child if they are not feeling well or need medication administered during the camp day. Our nurses come to us with many years of nursing experience. They can handle everything from minor cuts to more serious medical concerns such as asthma, food allergies, and diabetes. The nurse's office is air-conditioned and has a quiet space for campers to rest if needed.
Shaded Lunch Pavilion
The Lunch Pavilion is Maplewood’s very own outdoor picnic area! Take a seat and enjoy lunch with your group while relaxing in the crisp fresh air. At day’s end we meet at the lunch pavilion for an ice cream treat and to spend time with our camp friends.
