Are you ready for a summer of amazing experiences and memories? Maplewood Country Day Camp, located in South Easton, MA is looking for responsible, enthusiastic, compassionate, and spirited individuals who can serve as role models, mentors, and coaches to our campers ages
3 to 14. If you enjoy working with children; and the outdoors and want to have an impact on the campers you lead then this is the job for you!!!
SENIOR COUNSELOR: Responsible for leading groups of children through their daily activities as well as supervising other staff members. This position is ideal for those with a teaching degree or students graduating with an education degree. Applicant must possess the following qualities: patience, fairness, playfulness, willingness to participate, compassion and great listening skills.
JUNIOR COUNSELOR: Responsible for interacting with and supervising campers. Assist with the running of their daily activities. Seeking positive role models who will bring strong leadership and communication skills to this
position.
SR. CIT: Be a part of our training/mentorship program that will give you the skills needed to be a counselor in future years. Strengthen your leadership and communication skills and grow your self-esteem and confidence. Flexible schedule. Applicants must be entering 10th grade in the fall of 2025.
SWIM INSTRUCTOR/LIFEGUARD/BOATING LIFEGUARD: Responsibilities include teaching swim lessons and guarding the pool or lake. We are looking for responsible, enthusiastic individuals. Applicants must have lifeguard, CPR and first aid certification. If you are not certified or need re-certification, Maplewood will reimburse the cost of the course.
ARCHERY ASSISTANT: If you enjoy working with children, the outdoors, and rewarding and challenging environments, this is the job for you. During the summer, you will assist the lead archery instructor in teaching children the fundamentals of archery, emphasizing the proper use of equipment and following safety precautions. All applicants must possess good basic archery skills and the ability to teach children of all ages and groups.
DRAMA /MUSIC SPECIALIST: Applicant must have experience teaching and running theater games and activities geared to help children gain confidence. Also required is a working knowledge of creative games and improvisational theater techniques. Also needed is experience working within a program that encourages enjoyment of song, rhythms, and sound. Ability to play an instrument such as a guitar or keyboard is a plus but not required.
MARTIAL ARTS INSTRUCTOR: Searching for a certified instructor who can create safe, fun and engaging sessions that will encourage a deep respect for oneself and others and develop campers’ confidence in their abilities. Applicant should have prior experience teaching students of varying ages and fitness levels.
